“Come to the Summer Program with an open mind, and try to remember what is going to be different during the school year,” says Thomas “TK” Kelsey (’23), recalling the advice his brother gave him back when TK was an attendee in 2019.  

Josephine “Jo” Dragoo (’23) recalls her favorite moment from last summer’s High School Program, her first as a prefect. “I especially loved our morning hike to the Painter’s Shack for Mass,” she says. “It was beautiful and moving to celebrate the Mass in God’s creation.” 

A Wisconsin native and the seventh of eight siblings, Pat Mazza (’23) will be returning to the California campus later this month to serve as a prefect on the 2021 High School Program.

“I fell in love with TAC solely because of this summer program, and this will be my last time working it,” says Mikaela Heal (’21), a two-time past prefect and a member of the College’s newest graduating class. 

In a few months, Dillon Raum (’21) will head out to Scottsdale, Arizona, to teach Euclid to high school students. First, though, he is returning to the California campus to serve, for the third time, as a prefect for the High School Great Books Summer Program.

Alumna Helen Blain (’20) returns to the Summer Program for her fifth year as a prefect — and her first on the New England campus. Since graduating from TAC last year, she has completed her first year of graduate studies at the Augustine Institute, where she is pursuing a master’s degree in theology. 

Hailing from Lomita, California, Orion LaCour (CA’22) has the special privilege of being a prefect this summer for the High School Summer Program on both coasts.
