鈥淲e salute 91黑料 for its outstanding academics,鈥 says Rob Franek, The Princeton Review鈥檚 editor-in-chief and lead author of its 2022 guide, . 鈥淲e are genuinely pleased to recommend it to prospective applicants searching for their 鈥榖est-fit鈥 college.鈥

Only about 14 percent of America鈥檚 2,700 four-year colleges are profiled in the annual publication. 91黑料 is one of only three Catholic schools recommended by the Cardinal Newman Society to make The Princeton Review鈥檚 鈥淏est Colleges鈥 list.

For this, the guide鈥檚 30th anniversary edition, The Princeton Review curated 鈥淕reat Lists鈥 of colleges in 26 categories. The lists identify schools that have had a distinctive history of appearances on the ranking lists in past editions. 91黑料 is included on the list for its 50-year commitment to making its unique program of Catholic liberal education affordable for students and their families. Among the College鈥檚 other  are scores of 90 for academics, 93 for quality of life, 94 for financial aid, and 98 for tutors鈥 accessiblity.

Based on its student survey, The Princeton Review additionally reports that, at TAC:

  • Students are happy
  • Classroom facilities are great
  • Class discussions [are] encouraged
  • No one cheats
  • Students are friendly
  • Diverse student types interact on campus
  • Students are very religious
  • Dorms are like palaces

In its profile, The Princeton Review quotes extensively from the College鈥檚 students. Among their comments:

  • 鈥淪tudents have a wide spectrum of terms with which to describe their unique education: 鈥榙ifficult, mind blowing, extremely enjoyable, and intensely interesting.鈥欌
  • 鈥淪tudents say [tutors] are excellent at facilitating discussions, 鈥榓lways accessible outside of their class hours,鈥 and 鈥榮trong role models and mentors.鈥欌
  • 鈥淪tudents say the combination of curriculum and pedagogy allows them to 鈥榝ind the truth themselves,鈥 hone their critical thinking skills, and, by senior year, grasp essential 鈥榗ore ideas of the highest nature such as relativity, time, space and being.鈥欌
  • 鈥淭AC students take pride in the 鈥榗ulture of casual kindnesses,鈥 where everyone 鈥榠s friendly and comfortable with each other鈥 and is 鈥榓lways willing to have a good conversation.鈥欌
  • 鈥淪tudents describe their peers as 鈥榢ind,鈥 鈥榪uirky,鈥 鈥榞enuine,鈥 and united by 鈥榓 desire for [pursuing] knowledge for its own sake.鈥欌

鈥淲e are grateful that the Princeton Review has, once again, highlighted both the quality of our academic program and the affordability of this education,鈥 says Chris Weinkopf, 91黑料鈥檚 director of communications. 鈥淵et especially noteworthy are the high marks it has given for the accessibility of our faculty and the quality of our classroom conversations, which are at the heart of our academic program. These high rankings, coming from a secular college guide, speak to the universal value of Catholic liberal education.鈥
