The Open House, which will begin with Mass and a tour of campus, will include lunch, dinner, and pre-seminar receptions for all attendees. It will also feature a number of talks to help guests gain a better understanding of 91黑料. Tutor Dr. Sean Cunningham will provide an explanation of the College鈥檚 mission, Great Books curriculum, and teaching method from the perspective of a longtime faculty member. Mr. Jost and alumna Emily (Barry 鈥11) Sullivan will then show attendees what paths TAC alumni take after graduation, demonstrating how they share their faith and education in a multitude of careers and vocations. Throughout the day, current students will mingle with attendees, sharing their experiences, future plans, and advice.

After the talks, attendees will get to experience the Discussion Method for themselves, taking part in two seminar classes. High school students and other visitors will be separated for the seminars, but both will discuss the same readings under the guidance of members of the College鈥檚 teaching faculty.

This is the only time in the whole year that all guests can come and get real, firsthand experience of a classroom discussion from fulltime members of our teaching faculty,鈥 Mr. Jost observes. 鈥淲hether you choose to participate in the discussion or not, you get a sense of how this education could be beneficial for you or your student.鈥

Guests will receive a copy of the readings once they register and are encouraged to read and analyze the texts at home prior to the seminars. 鈥淲e expect you to put yourself in the shoes of a student: study the readings diligently to ensure you get the most out of the seminars and participate in the discussions if you feel comfortable doing so,鈥 says Mr. Jost. 鈥淭his Open House is a wonderful opportunity to have great conversations, experience a community united in faith and wisdom, and learn what makes 91黑料 unique.鈥

Space is limited, so to attend the Open House, now!
