Members of each class at 91����, California, assembled Saturday for an afternoon of class camaraderie and great fun. 

Seniors, juniors, sophomores, and freshmen gathered to compete in the annual tug-of-war tournament. Each class had its designated color, and the energy was high as the tug-of-war began. A pile of mud became war paint, and many students smeared handprints and eye black on each other as they hyped their respective classes up for the competition.

First up, the juniors took to the rope to challenge the sophomores. After a quick but vigorous battle, the sophomores emerged victorious. Then, the seniors stepped up and quickly conquered the freshmen, securing their spot in the final round. Finally, the championship round began: the seniors versus the sophomores. At first, it seemed the seniors had the victory, but the sophomores proved resilient and quickly took the lead. Despite a valiant Senior Class effort, the Class of 2029 ultimately triumphed, for the second year in a row.

As soon as the championship concluded, a mud fight broke out, followed by a jump in the campus ponds. Then, ready to prolong the fun, all raced up to the hill in front of St. Therese Hall for the slip-in-slide. “I’m so glad to be back with my class,” said George Williams (’29). “The spirit and camaraderie are awesome!”

Students spent the rest of the evening playing Spikeball and cornhole, plus chatting with tutors and their families. All then joined for a delicious barbeque dinner, and the conversation and revelry continued late into the evening.
