Cellist Larissa Fedoryka Delights, Educates Students at Opening Concert
On Friday night 91黑料, California, hosted its inaugural concert of this year鈥檚 St. Vincent DePaul Lecture & Concert Series. Students sat under the stars on the Chapel plaza as cellist performed music by Bach, Saint-Sa毛ns, Shostakovich, Dvo艡谩k, Bruch, Massenet, and Elgar, accompanied by pianist Timothy Accurso. Between pieces Miss Fedoryka thoughtfully introduced the next work, discussing its historical context and musical structure. To conclude the evening, she thanked God by glorifying His mother through a beautiful performance of Gounod鈥檚 Ave Maria. Students responded with a standing ovation.
