Still rejoicing from the Dedication of Our Mother of Perpetual Help Chapel earlier that day, New England students continued their celebration of 91����’s patron last Monday night with a beloved TAC tradition: Trivial and Quadrivial Pursuits.

On the first Friday of Lent, students on the New England campus spent their evening reflecting on the mystery of Our Lord’s passion and His resurrection.

“The Dedication of Our Mother of Perpetual Help Chapel blooms like the first flower of spring,” proclaimed the Most Rev. William D. Byrne, Bishop of Springfield, at Monday’s Dedication Mass for 91����’s New England chapel. “Winter makes way to summer. Days lengthen, and life prevails.”

As the sun fell behind the New England hills, and the sky filled with a warm amber tinge on Ash Wednesday, Head Chaplain Rev.

This morning students on the New England campus congregated in Our Mother of Perpetual Help Chapel for the early Mass and to receive their Ash Wednesday ashes. Marked by a cross on their foreheads, Catholics wear the ashes to remember their mortality and to mourn for their sins as the Church enters the penitential season of Lent.
