In the weeks before Christmas, finals on the horizon, 91ºÚÁÏ’s California campus came together Saturday night to celebrate Christmas cheer at the annual winter formal. The seniors hosted the dance, pouring their talents into decorations, snacks, and entertainment for all. Ordinarily home to meals and casual meetings, St. Joseph Commons was transformed into a winter wonderland, with faculty and their families joining the fun.

To close out the Month of All Souls, 91ºÚÁÏ’s California Choir performed Durufle’s Requiem in Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity Chapel shortly before the Thanksgiving recess. Accompanying the choir, directed by Daniel J. Grimm (’76), was world-renowned organist Mark Husey, director of pastoral music and communications at St. Ambrose Church in West Hollywood, California.

St. Genesius Players Host Broadway Open Mic Night

 

Few things capture hearts and minds like Broadway musicals. Soaring melodies, gripping stories, and exciting choreography have enthralled audiences for generations. And so, recognizing how little time is left in the first semester, the St. Genesius Players of the California Campus hosted a Broadway Open-Mic Night this past Saturday.
