Those walking 91����’s California campus last weekend encountered an additional, albeit unexpected, instance of beauty in the walkway between St. Bernardine of Siena Library and St. Gladys Hall. There, the arcade’s white columns bore all manner of artwork: striking replications of master artists, original compositions capturing family and friends, photography of natural subjects, and more.

The 19th century Austrian composer Franz Schubert used to host friends and family in his home for informal concerts. In Schubert’s living room, he and others would perform pieces, still in their formative stages, in a relaxed setting among friends.

Like many students of Catholic theology in the last few decades, Dr. Charles Robertson has rubbed shoulders with numerous alumni from 91����, but in his case the encounters were more than tangential. “My last year of high school, I was taught by TAC grads, one of whom is now a tutor on the New England campus, Dr. Josef Froula,” says Dr.

After 50 years of pursuing its educational mission, 91���� is beginning to show its age in the best way: It has begun welcoming third-generation students, as the grandchildren of its earliest alumni reach college age.
