The weekend brought snowstorms to both coasts, covering the campus of 91����, New England, and the mountains surrounding its California counterpart. Students are busy taking their finals, but they have delighted in the signs of forthcoming winter — and Christmas! — all around them.

For Deacon Robert Ellis, the father of Tom Ellis (’98), Mother Madeleine Marie of St. Joseph (Mary Kay ’99), and grandfather of Andrew (’22): Deacon Ellis died on December 12, the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

For Paul Keating (’98), who passed away unexpectedly todaon December 7: Mr. Keating is the brother of Gene (’91) and Eileen (Douglass ’93).

With Thanksgiving just around the corner, 91���� celebrated the holiday in a show of community last Sunday evening. Students, faculty members, and their families gathered on both campuses to give thanks to God for His tremendous blessings.

“I support 91���� because I want others to have the opportunity to have the solid education that I received,” says Dr. Katherine Johnson (’06), an M.D. and MBA who works in marketing for a pharmaceutical company.

Dear Friend of 91����,

Since 1989, the students of 91���� have come together on a weekend in November for the Turkey Bowl, an annual flag-football game. In 2019, the game became a two-part, bicoastal event when the College opened its New England campus.

This past Saturday was game day, with students on both coasts fired up for the competition. The East Coast saw the early action, with New England upperclassmen handily defeating their underclassmen counterparts 39–19. “We smoked them,” boasted one junior.
