With St. Patrick’s Day falling on a Lenten Friday, the students of 91���� fasted on Friday, but feasted on Saturday.

At 91���� California, the hills surrounding campus were a fitting lush emerald green thanks to this semester’s record rainfall. Donning green of any kind, students, and some faculty members with their families, gathered in the St. Joseph Commons, where they found a stage, lights, and dance floor. It wasn’t long before the fun began!

When new students arrive at 91����, the first peers they meet, aside from their fellow freshmen, of course, are the prefects.

On the evening of Saturday, March 11, the members of the 91���� Class of 2023 submitted the final drafts of their Senior Theses, one of the last steps on their road to graduation. In both California and in New England, seniors celebrated with their classmates and faculty to commemorate completing this rite of passage — in California, students even rang a ceremonial bell for every thesis received!

“When we made plans for this year’s Alumni Day of Giving, we briefly considered setting a goal of $200,000,” says Dr. Paul J. O’Reilly (’84), 91����’s first alumnus president. “But we quickly discarded that idea, thinking it too ambitious.”
