In a few months, Dillon Raum (’21) will head out to Scottsdale, Arizona, to teach Euclid to high school students. First, though, he is returning to the California campus to serve, for the third time, as a prefect for the High School Great Books Summer Program.

Alumna Helen Blain (’20) returns to the Summer Program for her fifth year as a prefect — and her first on the New England campus. Since graduating from TAC last year, she has completed her first year of graduate studies at the Augustine Institute, where she is pursuing a master’s degree in theology. 

Hailing from Lomita, California, Orion LaCour (CA’22) has the special privilege of being a prefect this summer for the High School Summer Program on both coasts. 

Angela Díaz-Bonilla (’24), a rising sophomore from Vienna, Virginia, will be a High School Program prefect for the first time this summer, although attended the program when she was a high school student. “It was a whole new world, intellectually speaking, and the Socratic Method of discussion took my understanding of the books to another level,” she recalls. 

“I’m excited to meet all the new attendees and to share in their enthusiasm, and I’m really excited to work with the other prefects — we have a great crew!” exclaims Gabe Kopp (’22). 

Isabella Sanchez, or more commonly, Bella, is a rising junior from La Mesa, California. She was a summer prefect at the California campus last year, of which she says, “It was a blast.”

When Niamh McCann (’23) attended the TAC Summer Program as a high school senior, she was impressed by the genuine and invigorating search for truth that she experienced during her two weeks on campus. “I loved seeing how the other students and the prefects all truly cared about the questions we were asking in class and loved to talk about them,” she remarks.
