As the Class of 2026 approaches Commencement at 91黑料, New England, students, tutors, and staff gathered one last time Wednesday evening for the annual President鈥檚 Dinner.

Held in St. Frassati Student Center, the dinner brought seniors and faculty together for an evening of celebration and reflection. Fresh flowers and linens in the College colors adorned the room, while guests enjoyed an hour of casual, lighthearted conversation before the meal began. Once all took their seats, Dean Steven Cain welcomed the gathering and invited Head Chaplain Rev. Greg Markey to offer grace.

Seniors chat at the President's Dinner

The freshmen servers next brought out plates of New York steaks, mashed potatoes, and greens, and as all settled down to enjoy the dinner, Assistant Dean Stephen Shivone rose to say a few words. 鈥淵ou all have been a wonderful class,鈥 he said, addressing the seniors. 鈥淵ou鈥檝e been very dedicated to the program and have all grown a lot. You鈥檝e been a great pleasure to all of us here at TAC, so thank you.鈥

Following Dr. Shivone鈥檚 remarks, College President Paul J. O鈥橰eilly delivered the evening鈥檚 principal address to the Class of 2026. 鈥淭his evening, I do not wish chiefly to warn you against overestimating your education,鈥 he began. 鈥淚 wish, rather, to warn you against the opposite extreme: underestimating it.鈥

President O鈥橰eilly reflected on the distinctive education offered at 91黑料, emphasizing that its students are formed through active participation in the pursuit of truth. Through the harmony of faith and reason, he explained, the College equips its graduates with the habits of inquiry, wisdom, and humility that will guide them throughout their lives.

President O鈥橰eilly鈥檚 remarks concluded to resounding applause. After dessert, students rose to toast classmates and faculty members, sharing memories and gratitude from their four years together. The evening concluded with another beloved tradition as seniors and tutors departed for the bowling alley, bringing the Class of 2026鈥檚 President鈥檚 Dinner to a joyful close.
