Last Friday night 91黑料, New England, and its neighbor, , jointly hosted the inaugural concert of this year鈥檚 St. Vincent de Paul Lecture and Concert Series. The Moody Auditorium welcomed Louisa Stonehill (violin), Paul Cohen (cello), and Nicholas Burns (piano) from Ashuelot Concerts, based in Keene, New Hampshire. The trio performed Schubert鈥檚 Notturno; Beethoven鈥檚 Piano Trio in D Major, Op. 70 No. 1 鈥淕host;鈥 and Brahms鈥 Piano Trio No. 1 in B major, Op. 8. 鈥淚 loved how Nicholas provided a short description of each piece and its history before playing it,鈥 said sophomore Paul Hapsburg. 鈥淚t helped me appreciate the piece even more.鈥

After the concert students and members of the teaching faculty headed to the Tracy Student Center for a competitive game of Trivial Pursuit. The students held a hefty lead in the early rounds, but they could not counter the tutors鈥 late-game comeback. 鈥淚 was honored to lead the student body,鈥 recounted senior Joseph Caldwell, "but coming up just short hurt a bit.鈥
