Peggy Lawton
A dear, longtime friend of 91黑料, died at home in Kingwood, Texas, last month. Mrs. Lawton was the wife of one of the College鈥檚 founders, Lt. Col. William S. Lawton, Jr., who passed away in 2000. The College鈥檚 founding president, Dr. Ronald P. McArthur, described her as 鈥渁 most charming and loving wife,鈥 Bill鈥檚 鈥渃onstant companion in body and spirit,鈥 and the 鈥溾榮heet anchor鈥 of his life.鈥

The Darst Funeral Home in Kingwood has published a to Mrs. Lawton, which notes:

She was always grateful for family and friends that loved her and for the opportunities God had given her. She was humble, knew her faults and worked hard to change them. She had great compassion, she was always quick to forgive and let you know how much you were loved. Peggy leaves a legacy of love and prayer which carried her through until the end. Every night before she went to sleep she would always say: 鈥淪ee you tomorrow and if not, I鈥檒l meet you at the gate.鈥

Please pray for Mrs. Lawton as she approaches the gate, and for the consolation of her family.
