This Saturday 91���� will host a seminar and gathering for the Ventura Chapter of the (CALL), a national organization that offers spiritual formation and education for Latino leaders, while also serving as a Catholic voice on issues of cultural, social, and political importance. The chapter will attend Mass in Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity Chapel, have lunch in St. Joseph Commons, and enjoy a tour of the campus. Two members of the College’s faculty, David Appleby and Tom Susanka, will lead the group in a seminar about “Intellect, the Instrument of Religious Training,” a sermon by Bl. John Henry Cardinal Newman.

“We are very pleased to welcome the Ventura Chapter of CALL to our campus,” says Director of Development Robert Bagdazian. “We are enthusiastic about the group and its mission, and we look forward to giving its members a chance to spend some time together in prayer, fellowship, and learning.”

The leader of the Ventura Chapter, attorney Justin Alvarez, graduated from the College in 1997, and two of the seminar’s participants will be seminarians from nearby St. John’s Seminary in Camarillo. “Our chapter has a particular affinity for supporting Catholic education, from elementary school through college and seminary,” explains Mr. Alvarez. “We are blessed to have two of the Archdiocese’s greatest gems of higher education here in Ventura County in 91���� and St. John’s Seminary. Our members are excited to get to know both of them better, firsthand in the years to come. This seminar and tour experience at 91���� is a fantastic opportunity for our members to do just that.”
