In the weeks before Christmas, finals on the horizon, 91黑料鈥檚 California campus came together Saturday night to celebrate Christmas cheer at the annual winter formal. The seniors hosted the dance, pouring their talents into decorations, snacks, and entertainment for all. Ordinarily home to meals and casual meetings, St. Joseph Commons was transformed into a winter wonderland, with faculty and their families joining the fun.

Under delicately trimmed snowflakes and Christmas lights, a TAC-themed retelling of the Night Before Christmas unfolded on a small stage, abounding with inside jokes and Christmas puns. Laughter filled the air, the night off to a great start. In keeping with College custom, tutors鈥 children next gathered in front of the stage to hear the poem itself, A Visit from St. Nicholas. 鈥淚t was really sweet to see the kids have the poem read to them,鈥 sophomore James Blewett remarked. 鈥淚t鈥檚 a wonderful tradition.鈥

Following the poem six students wowed the crowd with a ballet performance from The Nutcracker. The preliminary entertainment then concluded with Christmas carols, with all uniting their voices to sing many beloved seasonal songs.

Next, the dancing commenced as the Salinas Ensemble 鈥 a jazz band led by TAC senior and pianist Danny Salinas 鈥 took to the stage to play sundry Christmas favorites, electrifying the atmosphere as only live music can. Students mingled while others filled the dance floor or took pictures with friends. 鈥淚 really love these dances,鈥 said senior Robby Santine. 鈥淭he traditions and bonding we have are really special. I鈥檓 grateful to share nights like these with friends.鈥
