Following the success of Dr. Michael Augros’s (’92) podcast on artificial intelligence, the Oxford Union debate society invited the 91����, New England, tutor to speak at the end of February.

“Can artificial intelligence truly think and understand, just as the human mind does?”  So asks Dr. Michael Augros, a member of the teaching faculty at 91����, New England, in “The Mind and the Machine,” a new, 10-part video podcast series on artificial intelligence. 

Technologically minded alumni duo Liam Collins (CA’13) and Thomas Doylend (NE’22) are venturing into the future with a startup company, Human Centered Tech (HCT).

In November, Ian Cochiolo (CA’23) accepted a postbaccalaureate research fellowship in neuroscience through the National Institute of Mental Health in Bethesda, Maryland, where he studies visual perception in monkeys.

In early June, Joseph Seeley (’94) completed the San Diego 100, an endurance trail run in Lake Cuyamaca, clocking in at just under 31 hours — marking his tenth 100-miler in 10 years. 

“TAC fell out of the sky,” says Daina Andries (’09), founder of Epidaurus Health, about how she made her way to 91���� nearly 20 years ago.

When Daina Andries (’09) graduated from 91����, she thought she wanted to pursue an academic career. Today she is the co-founder of her own company, Epidaurus Health.
